The Outdoor Lab welcomes Arlington Families to experience the Lab during various events on weekends. Please look on our News Page for upcoming events. Please practice COVID safety protocols like social distancing, hand washing and mask wearing while at the ODL. For some events, waiver forms are required from each participant. (Form below)
Individuals
The Outdoor Lab counts on volunteers to help with a variety of tasks both at the Outdoor Lab facility in Fauquier County and from home or work in Arlington. If you’d like to get involved, please email our Volunteer Coordinator at volunteer@outdoorlab.org and we’ll find a role that fits your interests and available time.

Groups
The Outdoor Lab welcomes groups from Arlington who wish to help us maintain the Outdoor Lab. Previous supporters have included:
- APS Schools- PTAs, Classes and Clubs, Teacher Groups
- Youth Groups- Scout troops, Youth Teams
- Civic Associations, Garden Clubs, Church Groups, Business Volunteers

After you submit your Volunteer Group Form, our Volunteer Coordinator will be in touch to discuss your project. Your project is not approved until you
- sign a group volunteer agreement (provided by volunteer coordinator) and
- submit ODL Volunteer Waiver for all volunteers participating in your project
- provide Insurance Certificate (if required)
Partners
The Outdoor Lab also partners with Educational and Environmental organizations that can leverage our property or facilities and contribute to our mission.
