Dr. Phoebe Hall Knipling founded the Outdoor Lab during her tenure as Science Supervisor for Arlington Public Schools. After retirement, each successive Science Supervisor, and their staffs, have assumed Phoebe’s vision and shepherded the myriad details that make the Outdoor Lab such a special place!
One such unsung Science Office Staff member is Administrative Assistant Chris Reid. Chris had a passion for making sure every school, every teacher, and all the students had a great experience at the Outdoor Lab. From coordinating buses for the trip, answering questions from teachers and parents, getting health permits for the cafeteria, Chris solved many of the day-to-day details that helped the ODL excel and grow.
