Summer Camp 2022

Outdoor Lab Summer Camp is Back!

The Outdoor Lab offers three, week-long camp sessions that provide a number of nature-related activities and experiences to Arlington Public School students. Campers sleep outdoors in tents and are provided three meals and snacks every day. Activities include nature hikes, survival skills, night walks, games, skits, arts and crafts, animal exploration, boating, fishing, and much more.

Sessions for 2022

  • Session A- Elementary School  (for students who just completed GR 4 or GR 5): June 27 to July 1
  • Session B- Middle School  (for students who just completed GR 6, GR 7, GR 8):  July  11  to July 15
  • Session C- Elementary School:  (for students who just completed GR 4 or GR 5): July 25 to July 29

Applications (NEW for 2022)

Parents may apply for their student to attend camp by completing a short Google Form found at Outdoor Lab- Arlington Public Schools 

  • Registration is OPENgo here for link.
  • Applications will be accepted on a first come-first served basis until Friday, April 8 or until a session is full. (Applications received after a session is full will be placed on the waitlist.)
  • Once a student has been accepted, the family will be emailed an invoice for the tuition. 
  • Payment is by check or money order.

Apply for Counselor-in-Training (High Schoolers)

High School Volunteers/ Counselors-in-Training (CIT):

The Outdoor Lab welcomes APS high school students to apply to be a CIT for one session of camp. These are volunteer positions but students may earn Community Service hours for their work.  

CITs participate in all aspects of camp life: student hikes and activities, night programs, helping to prepare and serve meals, clean up, etc. A cooperative spirit and sense of enthusiasm are required!

The application for CITs will be available in mid-March. Please check back at APS Outdoor Lab site for application. 

Students currently in GR 9 may apply for one of the Elementary sessions

  • Session A: June 27-July 1, or
  • Session C: July 25-July 29

Students completing GR 10, 11, 12 may apply for either Elementary session or the Middle School session

  • Session A: June 27-July 1, or
  • Session B: July 11-July 15, or
  • Session C: July 25-July 29
